Clarence Denver “Denny” Black, 72, of Harrisville, died July 11, 2017 at his residence.
He was born October 31, 1944 in Ritchie County, the son of the late William Clarence and Mary Catherine Deems Black.
Denny retired as a well tender for G&S Oil and Gas and had worked for 13 years at Simonton Windows as a line worker. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was saved by Pastor Clyde Border.
He is survived by his companion Emma Lou McGinnis; step son, Brian McGinnis (Kim); step grandson, Danny McGinnis; brothers, Frank Black and Harry Black; sister, Mary Kathleen Black; ½ sisters, Laura Reynolds and Shirley Black; and nephew William “Bill” Black.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harley Black; sisters, Agnes Pauline Black Booth, and Ruth Louise Black; half sisters, Loretta Sisson and Betty Lou Black; and half brothers, Paul Black, Jr. and Tom William Black.
At Denny’s request, he will be cremated and there will be no services. Arrangements by Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville.
