Leslie Wyman Dotson, 97 of Pennsboro, passed away March 15, 2012 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. He was born January 17, 1915 on Buck Run, Ritchie County, a son of the late Elias Robert Dotson and Martha Eleanor (Washburn) Dotson.
Mr. Dotson was an office manager for Mid-Atlantic Glass and retired after 41 years. He was a graduate of Pennsboro High class of 1933 and Mountain State Business College. Leslie was a lifetime member of the Pennsboro Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre.
Surviving are two children: Delores Butcher and her husband Larry of St. Marys, WV and David Dotson of Pennsboro, six grandchildren: Debrah (Rob)Shaver, Tim Butcher, Brad (Pam) Butcher, Jason (Amy) Butcher, Holly (Scott) Petty and Shane (Lindsay) Dotson, seven great grandchildren: Anthony, Ben, Cole, Alex and Andrew Butcher, Kaitlyn Petty and Grace Dotson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Wilma (Hart) Dotson November 19, 2011, brothers Ora, Lloyd and Berkley Dotson, twin sister Delcie Jackson and sister Lucile Dotson.
Funeral services will be Sunday 2PM at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro with Evangelist Terry Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Pike Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4-8PM and 12-2 Sunday.
