We are fully committed to assist your family in planning a funeral and choosing the options that suit your family’s needs and your loved ones wishes. We are able to assist you in holding services in a wide variety of areas. From our chapel, to your church or at the cemetery we are able to prepare a meaningful service to honor your loved one. We will listen to your family and help to arrange a celebration of your loved one's life through whatever means you choose.

In addition to funeral services our staff also provides the following services to honor the unique life of your loved one.

American Flag

Full Military Honors

Nothing is more solemn than hearing the sound of “Taps” being played following a 21 gun salute to honor the dedication and service to our country by a veteran. Our staff will make arrangements with the local VFW Post in your area on your behalf to make sure we have one last salute for the veteran’s devotion. We will also assist the family in ordering an American Flag and the veteran’s marker as lasting keepsakes for families to hold on to for years to come. In addition to the military service, we will also arrange to have a brick made in honor of your loved one to be displayed at the Veteran’s memorial in Cairo, WV.

DVD

Life in Pictures DVD

Let us help create a special tribute to your loved one by compiling a DVD movie of the special occasions in your family’s history. We will scan your photographs and put them on a DVD of music and effects to allow your family to enjoy the memories long after the funeral service has concluded. It is a very nice tribute to be played during the visitation time.

Memorial Board

In addition to the Life in Pictures DVD we also will provide your family with photo boards for you to display your family’s photographs on. We also provide your family with display easels for display purposes during your visitation and funeral service.

In addition to the endless collection of caskets that we offer here at McCullough-Raiguel, we also have the capabilities of making a custom casket panel that will fit in the inside lid of the casket. You have the choice of using your own family photograph or choosing one of the limitless casket panel pictures that we have here at the funeral home.

With the rise of cremation in today’s society, we are fully aware of the distinctive memorialization options that families desire. At McCullough Raiguel, we offer individual jewelry from pendants, earrings, and rings that can be custom engraved and each provide for a small portion of your loved one’s cremated remains for you to keep with you at all times.

In addition to our keepsake jewelry, McCullough Raiguel Funeral Homes also has the capabilities to take a thumb/finger print of your loved one to get cast into a sterling silver or gold pendant to be worn at all times. Each piece of jewelry can be engraved and personalized to meet your wishes and also can hold a small portion of cremated remains to keep with you at all times.

Laminated Obituaries

our laminated obituaries provide you and your family a lasting keepsake following the funeral service. We will make a copy of your loved one’s obituary that appears in the local newspaper and laminated it with a full color picture with poem so you can have a lasting reminder of the service.

Guestbook Website Tribute

Online Guestbook and Website Tribute

At McCullough-Raiguel Funeral Homes, we are fully aware of friends and family that live away from our community and are not able to make it back to Ritchie County for the funeral service. So we will create a memorial tribute on our website that will display your loved ones photograph as well as their obituary with service details for your friends and family who are away. We also provide an online guestbook so people can leave you and your family words of encouragement and condolences during your difficult time.

A dove release following the graveside service can be a symbolic tribute to your loved ones journey to their final home. At McCullough-Raiguel Funeral Home, we can assist the family in arranging this special service for the spirit of your loved one.

A special service and tribute for your loved one can be portrayed in a balloon release at the funeral home or cemetery. A balloon release can help children be incorporated in the funeral service as they can be a vital part of the funeral service in an attempt of releasing a memory of your loved one into the sky.

For years, music has been a vital part of any service of remembrance to honor the unique life of your loved one. Music helps families to reminisce of a special moment that has occurred or simply to help ease the burden. We are able to help the family in creating musical cd’s on their behalf or simply use the family’s own selections. We also can help arrange live performances and have an in house piano/organ keyboard if your family chooses to have someone perform at the services.
